Although there is currently no advice from the Osteopaths’ registering & professional bodies or insurers requiring osteopathic clinics to close, following updated statistics on increased rates of virus transmission and the Government’s continuing strong advice on social distancing, avoiding ‘non-essential’ contact and requesting everyone to stay at home, we have made the decision that in order to protect our patients’ health & well-being and to reduce risk of this highly contagious virus spreading, it is best to temporarily close the clinic with immediate effect. This will be reviewed based on Government advice at that time.
If you suspect you may have had or have been diagnosed with Coronavirus (COVID-19) within 7 days of your last appointment at the clinic, firstly please follow Government advice on self-isolation (you can find the link here) & secondly please contact us directly on 020 8893 3084 so that the practice can follow Government guidelines for this situation.
If you have an existing appointment scheduled, you should have received a call cancelling your appointment. Going forward, we will be available by email firstname.lastname@example.org and on 020 8893 3084 during working hours (Monday to Friday 9-5) for general queries.
If a more in-depth conversation & specific advice is required, video consultations will be bookable, where we will be able to offer specific advice on managing conditions for both new and existing patients.
Because of the requirements of Osteopaths’ professional standards and insurance, these will follow the same format as a normal consultation ie provision of information, a full written case history of the problem; observation of movements & special tests with the exception that instead of physical treatment, we will provide advice & links to online resources (exercises etc) where appropriate. For this service there will be a charge.
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us by phone or email.
